"Scratch Ankle Depot" is the third in a series of trains and locomotives that I have painted over the years. This painting utilized Bob Ross paints and brushes as well as glazes from the Bob Ross Wildlife technique. I sometimes incorporate the year that I was born in my paintings. Can you find it?
Basically Jin7, you paint an underpainting in black Acrylic and allow it dry. Then apply Oil Painting Glaze Medium. This allows you to add color using your underpainting as a base. You would paint layers in stages. Thank you.
At 71 and with such artistic skills, you are as young and vibrant as you can be!!
Never saw a better painted train before!! My wife gasped for air whe she saw this one!!
This caught my attention right away, probably because all my childhood. There is monument in our city with very old train stands on it and we were taken there. It was incredibly impressive to see that huge machine as a child and this painting gives me the same feel of something grand in front of me.
My 2 year old son got very excited when he saw this painting! He loves trains! Such incredible work! Thanks for posting!
I just hope I can get to the level to paint a locomotive this detailed one day. Iām inspired by your art.
